Fotonano Cluster


The Fotonano cluster is owned by the departments of Photonics and the department of Nanotech. Access to the cluster is thus accordingly decided within both these sections.
The cluster consists of 106 nodes in total. They are currently divided into these different categories:

 

6 nodes each equipped with:

  • 2 Sockets – 10 Core Intel Xeon E5-2660v3 2.6GHz – Dell PowerEdge FC430
  • 128GB RAM
  • 400GB SATA SSD for OS and applications and temporary files
  • FDR-Infiniband

40 nodes each equipped with:

  • 2 Sockets – 10 Core Intel Xeon E5-2660v3 2.6GHz – IBM NeXtScale nx360 M5
  • 128GB RAM
  • 1TB GB internal SATA (7200 rpm) disk for OS and applications
  • QDR-Infiniband

16 nodes each equipped with:

  • 2 Sockets – 8 Core Intel Xeon E5-2665 2.4GHz – HP ProLiant SL230s G8
  • 64GB RAM
  • 500 GB internal SATA (7200 rpm) disk for OS and applications
  • QDR-Infiniband

2 nodes each equipped with:

  • 2 Sockets – 8 Core Intel Xeon E5-2665 2.4GHz – HP ProLiant SL230s G8
  • 256GB RAM
  • 500 GB internal SATA (7200 rpm) disk for OS and applications
  • QDR-Infiniband

18 nodes each equipped with:

  • 16GB or 32 GB RAM
  • 500 GB internal SATA (7200 rpm) disk for OS and applications

9 nodes each equipped with:

  • 16GB RAM

3 nodes each equipped with:
