Syntax

Description

UNIX only.

Specifies the root execution privileges for jobs from local and remote hosts.

Start of change If defined as any value in the local cluster, allows root remote execution privileges (subject to identification checking) for jobs from local hosts in the same cluster, for both interactive and batch jobs. Causes RES to accept requests from root on other local hosts in the same cluster, subject to identification checking. End of change

Start of change If defined as all in Platform MultiCluster, allows root remote execution privileges (subject to identification checking) for jobs from remote and local cluster hosts, for both interactive and batch jobs. Causes RES to accept requests from the superuser (root) on local and remote hosts, subject to identification checking. End of change

If LSF_ROOT_REX is not defined, remote execution requests from root are refused.

Default

Not defined. Root execution is not allowed.
