Fotonano Cluster (LSF 10)


The Fotonano cluster is owned by the departments of Photonics and the former Nanotech department. Access to the cluster is thus accordingly decided within both these sections.
The cluster consists of 63 nodes in total. They are currently divided into these different categories:

3 nodes each equipped with:

  • 2 Sockets – 2 x 24 cores –  Xeon Gold 6342 2.8GHz (Icelake)
  • Lenovo ThinkSystem SD630 V2
  • 1024 GB RAM
  • 480 GB SATA SSD for OS and applications and temporary files
  • HDR-Infiniband

10 nodes each equipped with:

  • 2 Sockets – 2 x 16 cores –  Xeon Gold 6226R 2.9GHz
  • Lenovo ThinkSystem SD530
  • 4 nodes with 384 GB RAM
  • 6 nodes with 768 GB RAM
  • 480 GB SATA SSD for OS and applications and temporary files
  • FDR-Infiniband

2 nodes each equipped with:

  • 2 Sockets – 12 Core Intel Scalable Gold 6126  2.6GHz
  • Lenovo ThinkSystem SD530
  • 384 GB RAM
  • 480 GB SATA SSD for OS and applications and temporary files
  • FDR-Infiniband

2 nodes each equipped with:

  • 2 Sockets – 16 Core Intel Xeon E5-2683v4 2.1GHz
  • Dell PowerEdge FC430
  • 256GB RAM
  • 240GB SATA SSD for OS and applications and temporary files
  • FDR-Infiniband

6 nodes each equipped with:

  • 2 Sockets – 10 Core Intel Xeon E5-2660v3 2.6GHz
  • Dell PowerEdge FC430
  • 128GB RAM
  • 400GB SATA SSD for OS and applications and temporary files
  • FDR-Infiniband

40 nodes each equipped with:

  • 2 Sockets – 10 Core Intel Xeon E5-2660v3 2.6GHz
  • IBM NeXtScale nx360 M5
  • 128GB RAM
  • 1TB GB internal SATA (7200 rpm) disk for OS and applications
  • QDR-Infiniband

All nodes are installed with Scientific Linux 7.9
